I’m convinced award-winning author, Eddie Jones of Raleigh, North Carolina, has sand in his hair and saltwater coursing through his veins. A pirate at heart, he’s often found atop his surfboard riding out his high-sea adventures on the crest of a wave.
Although the call of the sea is strong and its treasures alluring, Eddie has answered a far greater call and has proven the words of Walt Disney to be true. “There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island.”
When not scouting out the next wave, this enterprising swashbuckler lays down his board and wields a mighty pen to pump out YA pirate fiction, middle-grade fiction for boys, and romantic comedy.
When asked about his future hopes and endeavors he stated, “Wee doggies (must be pirate jargon), I’d be happy and hopeful to get one person a day to buy one of my books. Any of my books, doesn’t matter. Seriously, to complete this little werewolf story I’m writing and get onto my next pirate novel.”
Don’t let Eddie’s laid-back style and quirky sense of humor fool you, he’s serious about the business of writing and publishing. As founder and CEO of Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas, co-founder of Christian Devotions Ministries, and co-director of Asheville Christian Writers Conference, he helps hundreds of aspiring writers and authors fulfill their dreams.
