I was impressed several years ago by this beautiful ice sculpture at our YMCA’s dinner and dance. It reminds me of a statement Michaelangelo made when he was confronted with a large stone.
“There’s an angel inside this block of marble, and I’m going to set it free.”
Perhaps there’s something we need to look at with fresh eyes. Failing to view things from God’s perspective keeps us from experiencing the beauty that lies just beneath the surface.
Break free of old thought patterns. View things differently and set what lies within free. What emerges may surprise you.
